I have the later, and do not believe the case bulge is an issue after around that time manufacture. However, maximum pressures could make this more of an issue. If not in the 40 SW, then in the 10mm at max loads as OP details. •The issue of Glock pistols not having a fully supported chamber is with the 40 S&W cartridge only, not 45 acp, 10mm, 9mm or 380 auto. Mar 28, 2016 · You need to open up the lead in the chamber if not the bullet would be smashed into the rifling raising pressures. No set back issues. The 10mm is unusual in that so much of the bullet is seated in the case compared to rounds like the 9mm and .45 acp. These rounds passed the push test I do and I also checked oal after chambering them with no set back.

We now have great Kimber 10mm barrel chamber support pics, compliments of moodyxt! After looking over the pics I don't believe any other 10mm semi-auto platform offers more chamber support than Kimber. It looks clear to me that there isn't even an aftermarket G20 barrel as good. The ONLY chambers that fully support a handgun round are revolvers. The reason why this is is because an auto pistol must have a feed ramp, and an extractor. And that feed ramp must intersect the chamber at some point, and the extractor has to have a place to get ahold of the case rim.

I guess the more "fully supported" chamber appealed to me.
